Mourning the passing of Eric Elrod
- Immediate Past President Eric Elrod passed away on
Tuesday, November 4, 2008. An anonymous donor has
made a generous contribution to start the Eric Elrod
Memorial Fund to benefit the children of Richmond
Elementary School in Salem. Please
contact us if you would like to contribute to this
wonderful remembrance of Eric.

Kiwanis Now Meets at Marco Polo Restaurant - The Salem
Kiwanis Club now meets each Tuesday at 12:00 noon at
Marco Polo Global Restaurant, located at 300 Liberty St.
SE in downtown Salem.

Division 70 is Recognized -
Division 70 of the Pacific Northwest District of Kiwanis
will be recognized as a Distinguished Division following
a very successful 2007 - 2008 administrative year.

Loni Barrett Elected as Division 70
Lt. Governor-Designate by a unanimous vote of the Division 70
Caucus at the March 10th Zone Conference. She assumed the office of Lt. Governor in October 2007 for
the 07-08 administrative year.

Major Calendar Update - We have
completed a major update of our
events calendar. Committee Chairs are requested to
submit their committee meetings and events so we may
publish them on the events calendar.

Salem Kiwanis Members Directory Added
- A list of current Salem
Kiwanis Members has been added to the web site with
employment information and links to our businesses. This
is provided as a service to our members and their
employers. The roster contains a great list of
businesses that are committed to making a difference in
our community.

Web Site Update - We have added a
scrolling marquee of member's businesses or
organizations on our home page at
www.salemkiwanis.org.

Online Membership Interest Form -
We have developed an online membership interest form for
those who wish to obtain more information about
membership in our club.

New Format for Salem Kiwanis Events
Calender - The Salem Kiwanis Calendar of Events now in a
new online format. This calendar allows scheduling of
recurring events, future events and updates during any given
month. The calendar will allow us to keep the calendar more
current and accurate. Please view our
events
calendar online and bookmark it for easy reference.
